Bugs & Sparks was established in November 2007 by Craig Louw. Craig Louw was a qualified Electrician and a qualified Novell CNE, Compaq ASE and a Fixed Wing and Helicopter pilot. With just one assistant, he gained the respect of his clients with his punctuality, reliability, trustworthiness and capability. This enabled him to grow Bugs & Sparks to the point that a partner was needed to focus on sales and marketing.
Enter Craig Ford, who joined Bugs & Sparks as a partner in February 2010. With 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Craig Ford decided that he would like a change from the corporate environment. He wanted to make a significant impact on the private sector. Since joining in 2010, Craig Ford has bought out Craig Louw. He employs 38 staff members and is hoping to add another team shortly.
Bugs & Sparks is registered with the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA), South African Pest Control Association (SAPCA) South African Electrified Fence Installers Association (SAEFIA), LPGSASA, Department of Labour, BIBC, and NBCEI.
